In Spring 2026, we took an Undercover Tour of Elite Salon Suites in the Minneapolis area (located off Highway 55 in Plymouth) to see how it stacks up for independent beauty professionals.
Overall, the individual suites are nice, clean, and functional. A major highlight is that the facility features 46 suites (mostly full during our visit) in a variety of shapes and sizes. This flexibility is a huge plus for beauty service providers—whether you are a hair stylist, esthetician, or lash technician, you have plenty of layout options to find a space tailored specifically to your business setup. So many of the franchise salon suites only offer cookie cutter suites designed by the corporations that own them.
That said, the buildout itself feels a bit dated and lacks a cohesive design aesthetic. Part of this comes down to the constraints of the building, which has the footprint and vibe of a traditional, corporate office building near a major highway. As a result of the interior layout, the hallways feel somewhat cramped rather than open and airy. On the bright side, renters do get access to unique extras like a fitness center and underground parking.
The absolute standout during our visit was the manager/owner who showed us around. She was exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive. Having dedicated, accessible management on-site is a massive asset for small business owners relying on smooth daily operations.
Elite Salon Suites clearly shows engaged ownership and should be considered if you prioritize manager support, location and functional space. We understand they have other locations in the MSP area as well.
